Big Brother star Farida Khalifa has found viral TikTok fame thanks to her niche career.
The 50 year old make-up artist from Wolverhampton is popular among women and girls from the Traveller community, and she's been dolling them up for special events for years.
Farida has garnered more than 17,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares top beauty tips and transformations from caravans across the country.
Farida previously told The Sun about her work, explaining: "I do travellers’ make-up wherever they want me to. Sometimes we’ll be in a hotel, other times we’ll be in a car park or a campsite.”
She added: “Their values are a lot like mine as I’m Indian. Our cultures have arranged marriages so they don’t have to explain themselves to me. Instead, they ask me to make them a curry in their caravans.
“Once I went to Ireland and did 24 girls’ hair ups and four makeovers. I started at 6pm and finished at 9am the next morning,” she revealed.
According to the beauty expert, it’s not uncommon for travellers to spend over £1,000 just on hair and make up for her bridal party. Fake lashes and hair padding are included in the price.
On Thursday night's episode of the show, Farida told Kerry about her successful social media career.
She said: "There's thousands and thousands and thousands of users."
Kerry asked: "That watch you?"
Farida replied: "Yeah. My videos all go viral. I've got like 300,000 views just on one video. If I live streamed every day… trust me… I have had 400 followers just in 15, 20 minutes when I've livestreamed."
The make-up artist has also previously appeared on several reality TV shows.
As she tried her luck at Come Dine With Me, she hosted her fellow contestants and aimed to immerse them in authentic Indian culture. But all didn't go to plan as some dinner party attendees were left less than impressed.
One guest, Michael, rated Farida's evening a mediocre seven out of 10, saying the dinner was lacking the "wow factor". Explaining his reasons for the score, he said, "The evening lacked a wow factor… and because of the lack of alcohol for the guest."
Aside from her stint on Come Dine With Me, Farida also appeared on an episode of Blankety Blank – a game show previously hosted by Paul O'Grady before Bradley Walsh took the reins in 2022.
Recognising make-up artist, who was second to enter the Big Brother house on Sunday 8 October, one viewer posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Come Dine With Me? Blankety Blank… now Big Brother… Farida seems to be getting around.”
Big Brother continues on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
