Boots,ย Marks and Spencer, Homebase and Tesco will all bid farewell to brick-and-mortar shops next month.
It comes after months of announcements from different retailers with plans to reduce their store portfolios, some of which have already axed dozens across the UK.
Express.co.uk has rounded up the major changes to British high streets that will happen in November.
Boots
The pharmacy giant is expected to close five branches next month as part of its plan to shut 300 shops over a 12-month period.
The following shops will be axed this month:

- Gorleston, Great Yarmouth – November
- High Row, Darlington – November 3
- Mudge Way, Plymouth – November 18
- Mount Pleasant, Exeter – November 18
- Kirkby Ashfield – November 18
Tesco
Liverpool residents will lose the Tesco Express site in Mount Pleasant with its doors expected to close for good on November 15.
The shop is popular among students who study at the nearby Liverpool John Moores University campus.

B&M
Budget food and homeware chain B&M is closing and relocating one of its stores to give customers a “bigger and better” shopping experience.
This will affect the store located in Westmorland Retail Park, Cramlington, Northumberland, which will cease trading for a short period on November 4.
Homebase
Homebase will join B&M in closing two stores in November – one in Marsh Mills Retail Park, Plymouth, and another in Southam Road, Banbury.
A third will follow on December 10 which will affect fans of the Finchley Road store in London.
Marks and Spencer
Marks and Spencer will permanently close yet another branch next month.
It comes as part of plans to close 10 sites in 2023 which will relocate, and a wider strategy to close dozens more stores over the next five years.
November closures will see the M&S store in the Eagles Meadow Food Hall in Wrexham lock its doors for good on Thursday, November 30. Fans of the cafe should know that this will close on the slightly earlier date of Saturday, November 4.
Clarks
The shoe retailer has confirmed the closure of its store located in Newport Retail Park, Spytty this November. A spokesperson for Clarks said: “Clarks confirms its store at the Newport Retail Park, Newport, will close in late 2023. We have a strong duty of care to all our employees, and we are working closely with the store team as they now go through a period of consultation.โ
Customers affected by the closure can continue to shop with the retailer at the nearby Clarks stores in Cwmbran, Caerphilly, and Cardiff, or online.
The Riverside retail park site in Norwich also currently has a huge closing down sale with 50 percent off some items ahead of its closure in November, according to local news reports.
A third site at the Westwood Cross Shopping Centre in Kent is also expected to close in mid-November.
