Claudia Winkleman has been faced with a harsh blow hours before National Television Awards 2023.
The 51-year-old Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors host is in the running to pick up Best TV Presenter at the glitzy ceremony on Tuesday (September 5).
She is up against Alison Hammond, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Bradley Walsh and Martin Lewis to be crowned winner.

According to William Hill, Geordie duo Ant and Dec are are bookies favourites to take home the going for the 22nd time at 1/4.
This Morning presenter Alison is second favourite at 5/1 with The Chase's Bradley just behind at 6/1.
Both Claudia and Good Morning Britain's money saving expert Martin are both at the bottom of the list at 10/1.
However, the award is voted by the public so there could be a surprise result on the night.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps, said: "It's been another eventful 12 months for British television and there’s certainly a strong field for this year’s National Television Awards contenders.
"Amongst the hotly contested categories include the Best Talent Show, which BBC’s beloved Strictly Come Dancing leads ahead of The Great British Bake Off, whilst Love Island currently heads the Best Reality Show market at 2/5.
"Another notable category is the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, which ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! currently holds the favourite tag for at 8/11, whilst their iconic presenting duo of Ant and Dec are the 1/3 frontrunners to win another Best TV Presenter gong."
The NTAs will be hosted by Joel Dommett once again this year but he may be forced to flee the ceremony if his wife Hannah Cooper goes into labour.
The Masked Singer host, 38, is set to become a dad for the first time and Hannah is due to give birth in the next few days.
Speaking to The Sun, Joel said: "My wife is very pregnant .but there is a seat for Hannah at the O2 and we'll just hope she is still there at the end of the evening.
"We'll almost certainly take our hospital bag along, just in case."
The National Television Awards 2023 airs Tuesday , September 5 on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
