Coronation Street: Ed threatens Danny to stay away from James
Coronation Street’s Ed Bailey (played by Michael Georges) is set to come clean to his brother Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) about his recent gambling.
Having struggled with his addiction in the past, he’s managed to keep away from getting into money troubles up until his brother decided they should go into business together.
Since then, fans of the ITV soap have seen Ed slowly start to gamble again and will even turn to taking money from his son Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell).
Putting a £1,000 bet of Michael’s money on a horse, Ed’s thrilled when he wins big and decides to hide the cash in a bag at home away from his family.
However, when Michael takes the bag to work, things take a turn when DS Swain (Vicky Myers) turns up.

Wanting to question him about the £250,000 cash Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) stole from the Underworld account, Michael tells her all that he knows as he opens his bag.
Shocked to find the huge pile of cash, the officers demand to know where it come from with Michael confessing he doesn’t know.
As Ed is left horrified to see his son being taken away by police under suspicion of working with Stephen to defraud Underworld, his brother Ronnie then gets on his case.
Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal that next week, Ed will become agitated as Ronnie continues to question him about the “friend” who lent him money.

Knowing his brother’s past addiction, Ronnie suspects Ed’s been gambling a lot longer than he’s been letting on.
Growing tired of not having answers, Ronnie decides to confront his brother and demands to know the truth once and for all.
Confessing all, Ed reveals he had a big win on the horses, although swears to Ronnie that he’s done with gambling and it won’t happen again.
Later on, Dee-Dee confides in her new boyfriend Joel as she opens up about Ed’s old gambling addiction.
Joel’s left uneasy when he learns Ed’s money problem almost split his family up, although Dee-Dee believes it’s all in the past.
However, what she doesn’t know is Joel had to pay for Ed’s coffee before they were officially introduced as he overheard Ed’s card being declined.
Will Joel reveal to Dee-Dee that her dad is struggling with money once again? Or will he keep quiet to stay in Ed’s good books?
Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
