Peter Ash says it may be Paul’s last Christmas on Corrie
The Coronation Street actor appeared on the latest instalment of Good Morning Britain to address his character, Paul Foreman’s, bleak future.
During the interview, the news programme’s host Kate Garraway asked the star if he was filming Christmas scenes for Coronation Street.
He replied: “Yes, we are filming Christmas scenes at the moment, we are two months ahead.”
Kate added: “So you’ve already put your holly up…” The actor continued: “Yeah we are fed up with it already.”
The Good Morning Britain presenter probed the actor about where his character’s storyline will go in upcoming scenes.

Peter shared: “It’s really quite a sad Christmas for Paul, he finds out he’s got six to 12 months left so it is looking likely that this could be his last Christmas.
“So for him, it is just making the most of every little moment and spending it with the family and the kids.”
Kate interjected: “Which we should all do, it’s a good lesson to learn.”
Coronation Street fans will recall Paul tied the knot with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) earlier this year at a civil ceremony in the local bistro.

Daniel shared with the Mirror: “There was something very beautiful about filming the scenes. It was really beautiful, it was very emotional.
“For Billy, I think he would have never imagined he would be doing this, as he said in his church and in front of his God.
“He is very pragmatic about the wedding in the bistro; he realises God isn’t just in a building, he is everywhere. But there’s going to be a different energy in that.”
Paul was diagnosed with MND earlier this year after he did not recover quickly from an accident.
The doctor confirmed he had the illness after tests, leaving the Weatherfield resident distraught.
He kept his diagnosis to himself for some time before eventually telling his partner Billy what he was going through.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 8pm.
