Dancing on Ice’s Maura and Curtis spark split fears with her frosty response

Maura Higgins and Curtis Prithcard have sparked split fears after her frosty response to his dancing critique.

Dancing on Ice viewers are worried for the couple's relationship after Curtis angered Maura after last week's dance.

In her pre-skate VT, Maura was relaxing in the bar after last weekend's show when Curtis asked if she wanted to hear some criticism.

Maura looked fuming before he even started speaking and fellow Love Island stars Lucie Donlan and Jordan Humes looked worried.

Curtis said: "In the Foxtrot part in the routine the right shoulder just lifted up slightly."

Stern-faced Maura couldn't look at her boyfriend and muttered: "Alright, yeah OK."

Curtis wrapped his arms around Maura to apologise but she wasn't having any of it."

Luckily, judge John Barrowman broke the tension by jumping in her place next to Curtis.

After coming off the ice tonight, Phillip Schofield asked if Curtis had given Maura any more tips.

She coldly replied "no" as the camera panned to her grinning boyfriend, who insisted she was "amazing".

Picking up on the tension, Holly Willoughby claimed he was "too scared to say".

Dancing on Ice viewers took to Twitter to question how solid their relationship is.

One viewer said: "Does she actually call her own boyfriend “Curtis From Love Island”! That’s a legitimate showmance confirmed then! Haha"

"This Maura and Curtis Showmance for camera attention should have stopped when that season of Love Island was over," added another.

A third said: "Is "Curtis from Love Island, older brother of AJ from Strictly" going to turn up on camera each week?"

"So Maura is supposedly with Curtis (don’t believe it), but I really like her with Alexander," said a fourth.

John Barrowman said he could feel the emotional connection but there were a lot of stumbles.

When he told a booing audience member to shut up, fellow judge Ashley Banjo was left in hysterics.

Presenters Holly and Phillip told Maura she looked gutted, but she managed to survive and made it through to another week.
