Born and raised in St Annes, near Blackpool, Rachael first discovered her love for performing at a young age. Her passion for soaps, in particular, developed from tuning in to them every night with her mother, Dawn.

Her acting journey began at the tender age of 8 when Rachael started honing her skills at the Emily Laws School of Acting, all while attending the King Edward and Queen Mary School for her education.

Rachael's dedication to her craft continued as she pursued theatre studies at Lytham High School Sixth Form and later graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2017.

Rachael's first professional on-screen credit came in 2019 when she was cast as Gail Loman in Emmerdale. Initially introduced in a brief guest role, Rachael was delighted to step into the world she had grown up watching as a child.

Speaking to theBlackpool Gazetteabout the experience, she shared her excitement, saying: "I watched Emmerdale growing up, so it was unbelievable to meet the actors who portray the characters I've been watching for so many years."

Although her initial on-screen appearance was brief, show producers were so impressed by her performance that they decided to invite Rachael back to the show three years later. In May 2023, Gail became a permanent addition to the cast.

Taking to Instagram this past May, Rachael couldn't contain her excitement about her return to Emmerdale, expressing her joy by stating: "Over the moon to finally announce that I have joined the cast of Emmerdale. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Emmerdale who has made me feel so welcome – I am so grateful and I am loving every minute of it!"

Beyond the confines of the Emmerdale set, Rachael often shares glimpses of her personal life on social media.

Rachael's social calendar in Manchester is brimming with diverse experiences. She revels in hen parties, weddings, fun nights out with friends, and even memorable excursions to destinations like Paris and Cyprus.

One notable event in her calendar was attending the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool this year.

Rachael also had a brief but memorable appearance on a rival ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. In 2022, she graced the screen as a receptionist in a single episode, marking her sole other television credit outside Emmerdale.
