Philip enjoyed filming Christmas at the Holly Day Inn, despite it meaning he steps back into the shoes of a nasty character.
A synopsis for the film reads: “An over-achieving executive quits her job before Christmas and travels to her father’s country inn to regain balance.
ย
“When she discovers the retreat empty and under pressure to sell, she sets about saving the inn and restoring her father’s spirit.”
Will Emma (played by Tamla Kari) be able to save Christmas for her family?
The rom-com also stars Doctor Who’s Colin Baker and EastEnders legend Anita Dobson.
Christmas at the Holly Day Inn is out now, while Waterloo Road can be watched on BBC iPlayer.
