Fun and easy melted Snowman white chocolate bake

If you're looking for something fun and festive to create this Christmas season then why not give this a go? Loved by little ones, and big ones alike, this is quite possibly the easiest sweet treat to make.

Just find your favourite white chocolate and melt into a warm puddle before setting into place with all your fun decorations added. It's not hard to make a melted snowman – just use your imagination and follow our picture as a guide.

We loved adding mini peanut butter cups to ours and the salted pretzel sticks add a tasty touch but have fun experimenting with all sorts of flavour additions here from crunchy Maltesers to marshmallows.

Also, try playing about with your chocolate – there are lots of white peppermint chocolate flavours out there that you can try then add Mint Aero Bubbles as buttons, or pick up some flavourings in your supermarket baking aisle and really go wild with your combinations. Enjoy!

Melted snowman white chocolate bake

Makes 4

Ingredients

  • 200g white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • Candy-coated chocolate buttons
  • Edible eyes
  • Mini peanut butter cups (such as Reese’s), cut in half
  • Pretzels, cut into sticks
  • Orange frosting pen
  • Festive sprinkles or silver balls

1. Line a 20cm square baking tin with non-stick baking paper. Pop the chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl and melt in the microwave or in a double boiler.

2. Pour the melted chocolate into the prepared tin and smooth it out gently with a metal spatula or the back of a spoon, making sure it doesn’t touch the edges of the tin.

3. Use the photo as a guide to decorate the chocolate. Arrange the candy-coated chocolate buttons in a line of three for snowman buttons. Place two edible eyes above the top button, leaving about a 1cm gap. Place half a mini peanut butter cup above the eyes for the hat. Place a pretzel stick on each side of the buttons for arms. Then draw a small, straight line between the eyes and top button with the orange frosting pen to make the carrot nose.

4. Repeat this to make a total of four snowmen. Sprinkle festive sprinkles or silver balls over the chocolate, without getting too close to the snowmen.

5. Leave to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about two hours.

6. When set, cut or break into chunks and enjoy!
