Good Morning Britain slammed for reading A-level results out live on TV after student fails to get grades he wanted | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain have been slammed for reading teenager's A-level results out live on TV after a student failed to get the grades he wanted.

Yesterday morning young people up and down the country were opening up envelopes to see if they had go into heir chosen university.

ITV's GMB decided to film some students from a college in Hull opening their results live on air on Thursday morning.

While some were left over the moon with what they got, others were a little disappointed.

One student called Dylan was joined by correspondent Pip Tomson as he opened the envelope.

Pip said: "Before you open, quickly tell us what you want and what you hope to do."

Dylan replied: "I've got an unconditional so it doesn't really matter, anything is a bonus. I hope I see a couple of Bs."

As the youngster opened the envelope, Pip said: "Let's see if you've got a couple of Bs!"

Dylan sighed as he looked at the piece of paper and Pip read out that he had got two Ds and a C.

Viewers at home flocked to Twitter to share their views, with many saying that they shouldn't have filmed students opening their results live on air.

One said on the social media platform: "I find this whole putting nervous students opening their exam results live on tv really odd. The students not being filmed directly still have the added nerves of a tv crew being in the school. Not sure I’d like it #GMB."

Another chimed in: "I think it’s time that these schools/colleges stop allowing the media like #GMB to film their students opening results live on TV! Not everyone will be happy with their results and it’s like rubbing salt into a wound!#AlevelResultsDay2022 #MentalHealthMatters."

A third added: "#GMB having kids open results on camera is awful. To then say at least you have an unconditional offer is wrong. Poor lad."
