Celebrities and influencers from across the UK are going wild over a £120 ‘shirt jacket’ from ASOS. 

The blue checkered shirt jacket – also known as a ‘shacket’ – has been hailed one of this season’s must-have pieces after being spotted on tastemakers like The Saturdays singer Vanessa White and fashion bloggers including Tara Maynard.

But the wool check fringed coat, which comes from the online retailer’s trendy ASOS WHITE line will set shoppers back £120. 

Delighted customers have called the jacket ‘so chic’ and the fringe detailing ‘amazing’.

Shoppers are obsessing over the slouchy style shirt jacket, which comes in a stylish spring-like blue and brown check. 

The fringe detail runs across the front, across the arms and along the back of the jacket. 

It’s currently available online in the ASOS White range in all sizes from UK size 4-18. 

The White range is designed to offer more sophisticated everyday pieces with a modern twist.

The brand describe the range as ‘how to be a grown-up without looking like a grown-up.’ 

While some fashionistas have thrown the shirt-jacket over the top of simple t-shirts, others have layered up, donning it over hoodies and jumpers. 

Former member of The Saturdays, Vanessa White, stepped out in the trendy jacket while out for a walk in London.

The singer buttoned the jacket up for her walk, pairing it with a cross-body black and gold bag and adding a  touch of glam with a pair of large hoop earrings.

Influencer Tara Maynard, from Manchester, added a pop of colour to her all-white ensemble with the trendy checked shacket  

Other celebrities and fans flooded her comments with praise for the outfit, including Ashley James, who commented with love-eye emojis: ‘That coat.’

Meanwhile fashion blogger Laura Elizabeth Klein matched her nails with her jacket when she stepped out in the stylish shacket in London.

Tara Maynard delighted her 91,000 followers  when she threw the jacket over the top of a white outfit.

She added a pop of colour with the checked shirt, and put it on over the white t-shirt and jogging bottoms. 

Followers praised the slouchy style of the jacket, with one commenting: ‘This fit.’

One commented that she looked ‘so bomb’, while another added: ‘Looking so chic babe.’

Others used the jacket to add an edgy touch to their feminine outfit. 

French fashion blogger RaÏssa Touré wowed her followers by pairing the shirt with a baby blue ribbed midi dress and a pair of edgy black biker boots.

Praising the jacket online, other social media users said they loved details including the tortoiseshell buttons as well as the fringed detailing.
