Inside Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright’s impressive couple’s workouts in their home gym

Kate and Rio Ferdinand are known for their love of fitness and even have impressive matching six-packs that show just how hard they work.

We know Kate loves a trip to their home gym around four to five times a week, but when she wants a bit of company she turns to her husband for a couple's workout.

The duo filmed themselves hitting the gym floor where they completed a sweaty routine packed full with squats, press-ups and dumbbell weight exercises.

Kate, who has opened up on her diet and health in her new book, Fitter, Happier, Healthier: The Ultimate 4 Week Body Transformation Plan, posted the clip of the married pair working on their muscular bodies.

Donning matching black gym wear, with Kate showing off her slender waist in a tight black vest top and black leggings, and Rio wearing in a black t-shirt and shorts, they started with a pair of weights each.

Starting with dumbbell swings both Rio and Kate puffed away as they lifted the weights high in the air before slightly squatting as they drove them back towards the ground.

They switched up their moves with bicep hammer curls, before then doing a squat press and lunge-walk with the weights lifted in the air.

Matching stride for stride Rio and Kate walked to the end of the gym floor and then turned around, making it all look so easy.


Switching from the weights, Rio and Kate then went on a gym mat where Rio stuck to push-ups and Kate did some more challenging burpees.

It seemed the pair barely broke a sweat from the snippet of their workout as Kate's followers took to her comments to gush about their workout together.

"Couple's workout, couple goals," wrote one.


"You two are the best," added another, as many more simple wrote 'couple goals'.

The pair, who got married in a lavish three-day ceremony Turkey last September, also workout with their personal trainer Mel Dean.

The fitness expert shared a snippet of them working out together, using a pull machine to work on their arm muscles.

Kate revealed the secrets to her envious figure last year ahead of the release of her book saying as well as her regular workouts she she hides treats in an unreachable cupboard.

The step-mum to Rio's three children explained stops herself from overindulging by throwing leftovers in the bin and avoiding sweet treats.

In one tip for fans, Rio Ferdinand’s stunning wife writes: “One thing I rarely eat is sandwiches…

“I never feel like there's any goodness in them. The only ones I do have sometimes are the Christmas sandwiches with turkey, stuffing and cranberry. I may have one, once a year as a festive treat, but that's my lot.”
