While the royal family deals with some major shifts and headline-making transitions, Kate Middleton is business as usual, just hanging with super-cute kids and promoting her new initiative, 5 big questions on the under 5s. According to Harper's Bazaar, Middleton is embarking on a 24-hour tour of the U.K. and hoping that as many people as possible take part in a survey that's meant to give the Royal Foundation more insight to what parents and caretakers want and need to ensure that kids get the right kind of care.
"Parents, carers and families are at the heart of caring for children in the formative years, so that is why I want to listen to them," Middleton said on Instagram. "As a parent I know how much we cherish the future health and happiness of our children. I want to hear the key issues affecting our families and communities so I can focus my work on where it is needed most."
Market research company Ipsos MORI is gathering the survey results and Middleton is acting as the face of the campaign, putting time in at kid-friendly places such as the MiniBrum at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum, the LEYF Nursery in Southwark, and a baby sensory class held at the Ely and Careau Children's Centre.
The Royal Foundation, along with Middleton, will use the survey's findings to identify and improve social challenges that face families and childhood development, from the womb to the age of five.
Kensington Palace announced the tour on Instagram and shared a few snapshots of Middleton in action, as well as provide more information on the survey itself. "5 Big Questions on the Under 5s aims to spark the biggest ever conversation on early childhood that will ultimately help bring about positive, lasting change for generations to come," the palace's caption reads.
