FAYE Winter has opened up about her recent cancer scare and admitted she initially "brushed it under the carpet".
Earlier this month the Love Island, 28, star told fans she previously suffered "sleepless nights" after discovering a lump in her breast.
Now Faye has revealed she didn't take action immediately – but urged people to be vigilant when checking for lumps.
She said: "When it happened back in March when I was on holiday with the girls it was one of those things where it kind of happened, I spoke about it and then I brushed it under the carpet and was like, 'Ok I’ve had a big year, I wanna take time to heal and deal with what I wanna deal with'.
Faye added to the Mirror: "If I can get one person to check which I already know as so many people have messaged me and said they already have, I’ve done my job that’s what I’m here to do.
"I have a platform and my platform isn’t there to promote fast fashion, it’s not there to promote beauty it is purely there to promote, hopefully, goodness in the world and try and raise awareness."

Faye spoke out recently to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month.
She said: "I was so lucky back in June to be given the all clear on a lump I had found a couple of months prior.
"So many will also be given good news, but it doesn’t make those few weeks or months any easier.
"I hadn’t slept for days before going in for my scans thinking 'what else could go wrong this year', but yet putting into perspective how small those issues were, on top of trying to put on a brave face.
