The start date for this year's instalment of Married At First Sight UK has been revealed, just days after the full line-up for the E4 show was shared.
Viewers have been eagerly waiting for information about the upcoming series of MAFS, with the seventh season, which aired in October 2022, proving to be immensely popular.
Fans will be thrilled to find out they haven't got long to wait, as MAFS UK 2023 will begin airing on E4 on 18 September at 9pm, The Sun has reported.
This year's series is also the longest yet, as it'll be on screen for an extra six shows in comparison to last year's series.
The hit dating show will follow the same format as usual, with relationship experts Charlene Douglas, Paul C. Brunson and Mel Schilling on hand to help find each bride and groom their perfect match.
As usual, the series will see the couples make a commitment to one another, as they walk down the aisle to tie the knot with a total stranger.
The relationships will then be put under a microscope as the couples attend dinner parties, commitment ceremonies and begin to get to know one another.
This year's cast has also been revealed, with a former Geordie Shore star taking part as well as MAFS' first ever transgender contestant.
Events marketing manager Nathanial, 36, appeared on Geordie Shore: Hot Single Summer in 2021 and is now making a return to reality TV as he searches for love on MAFS UK.
Meanwhile Ella, 29, who is a clinic consultant from Weston-Super-Mare, makes history as the first ever transgender contestant to appear on MAFS.
Speaking ahead of the love experiment, blonde beauty Ella said: "This experiment is so much more than just me getting married. I see this as a big deal for someone who has transitioned."
The pair will be joined by 14 fellow brides and grooms – Tasha, Shona, Rosaline, Porsha, Peggy, Laura, and Jay, and grooms Thomas, Terence, Paul, Luke, Georges, Brad, and Arthur – as they hope to meet their match at the altar.
Relationship expert Paul, 49, who also stars on Celebs Go Dating, has teased the upcoming series, saying it's "not for the faint-hearted" and branding it "by far our best series".
Speaking to The Sun, the love expert said: "I believe this year of MAFS UK will be the most diverse cast ever in the history of dating in the UK. To me it's going to be a true cross section of the nation. It's not for the faint-hearted. I still have to see my therapist throughout this."
Teasing the show further, he also added: "This year is going to be by far our best series. For those who want to see roller coaster love stories, you've got them. For those who want to see couples implode, you got that. For those that want to see how couples compare against each other, it's there. Wait till you see the dinner parties!"
