Power Book IV: Force official trailer for season 2
The Power-verse series has become known among fans not just for its high-octane action and a sensational group of characters but also for its sensational soundtracks, and with music icon 50 Cent as an executive producer, it’s truly no surprise.
However, it’s Derryck ‘Big Tank’ Thornton who’s behind every single track that plays on-screen, from the theme to the songs on the radio in Tommy Egan’s Mustang.
The music supervisor clearly loves his work but told Daily Express US it’s the fans who give him the biggest “pride” in his job.
In fact, Derryck even sent out a request to fans, offering every viewer the chance to change the series.
When asked what his favourite tracks have been from this season, the music industry veteran shared: “I don’t want to pick, I would actually prefer if the fans did that.

“If they told me at the end of the season; ‘Hey, whoever this person is, use them all the time,’ I love that kind of feedback. They know what they want to hear and what they like so I want to hear from them.
“I want to hear from you guys and tell me what it is that you really love, that makes my whole day better.”
He explained the best way for fans to reach him is through Instagram, at Big Tank Music, and “hit me with a DM”.
The Starz music producer also revealed quite a few fans have already gotten in contact with him about the first five episodes which have been released.

He shared: “We’ve gotten so much great feedback on the music for this season. The last song in episode two, fans can’t find it! I got about 500 dms about it.
“If they wanna listen to the music specifically, it’s always gonna be artists you haven’t heard yet that’ll give you amazing music, if you wanna find those, let me know.”
Derryck added when it comes to choosing tracks for the iconic show he takes influence from a lot of places, including Chicago-based artists specifically for Force, as well those inside the show.
He jokingly added that he’s also open to the actors’ suggestions, saying: “Actors are hilarious, they come to you with everything.
“Some actors make music, we have so many actors who are diverse. Actors come with diverse palettes as well.
“They never come to me like; ‘Hey I think this song in my scene would be great’, because they don’t see the cut until it airs.
“When they’re calling me it’s usually like; ‘Oh my god this is crazy, I love how you put this here and did that there.’ They’re more excited about the music which makes me excited.”
Most recently, one of Power’s directors has teased an upcoming epic storyline on the show, while lead star Joseph Sikora seemed to allude to season three.
