Russell Brand has hit the headlines after denying "criminal allegations" made against him.
His statement was released ahead of a mystery Channel 4 Dispatches programme, which is due to be aired at 9pm tonight (September 16) with no information released on its content.
The comedian said he "absolutely refuted" the as-yet unknown allegations against him, suggesting they were made at a time when he was in the mainstream media.
Brand now maintains a relatively quiet life away from the spotlight with his wife Laura Gallacher.
Russell, 48, and Laura, 36, have been married since 2017, but had known each other for years before that.
In fact, they first dated 10 years earlier, in 2007, after being introduced to each other by her sister – former Sky Sports host and model Kirsty Gallacher.
Then, Laura was 19 and studying art, while Russell was 30 and enjoying a successful television career.
Laura would go on to tell You magazine she had "really" fallen for Russell and had "never experienced love like that before".
Of course, most will know it didn't last, and Russell spoke out about it during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.
He said: "We went out with each other, we loved each other very much, but I was [in a phase where] I thought the world was an amusement park made out of orgasms."
Between the time he and Laura came back into each other's lives years later, Russell had a string of romances.
He married Katy in 2010 but they split up 14 months later, with their devastating break-up playing out on her docu-film Part Of Me.
Russell went on to be linked to the likes of Geri Horner, Zara Martin and Jemima Khan, but he eventually found Laura again.
The duo met again in 2015 when a friend of Laura's "dragged" her for a walk in east London after she was left "heartbroken" by a breakup.
They bumped into Russell during the walk, and they've been together since.
Laura said on the Made By Mammas podcast: "I hadn't seen Russell for years. He was so different. We both immediately knew it was going to be serious."
They took things "very slow" and just spent time "getting to know each other and going out on day trips together".
The couple got married in August 2017, but by then they'd already welcomed their first child, daughter Mabel, in 2016.
Laura told Grazia previously: "I remember him saying, 'I think I want a quiet life and a family,' and it was exactly what I wanted.
"So, then it was about seeing if we could build a foundation to make that happen."
And they did just that, welcoming their second child together, another daughter, Peggy, in 2018.
Then earlier this year, in June, Russell revealed on podcast The Diary of a CEO that they were expecting their third child.
Speaking of being a dad, Russell said: "It's taught me there is a lot more important in this world than me."
