Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty has revealed that his social media posts “keep getting taken down” as he promises to be “more tame” with his content in the future. The Olympic swimmer, 26, was named as the 13th star in this year’s Strictly line up and since the announcement has been expressing his excitement for the show to get started with a series of selfies of him and various co-stars.

However, after getting multiple posts removed from Instagram, Adam told his 545,000 followers he would be “more tame” in future.

“My posts keep getting taken down so here’s something a bit more tame.

“On another note, I can’t wait for the launch show tonight!” he added.

Alongside the caption, Adam posted a smart snap of himself looking dapper in a suit and tie.

The star had previously posted a series of pictures to Instagram documenting the physical changes he had experienced.

Adam wrote: “Can’t believe how much my body is changing through doing something different!

“A great few days dancing and my boys 1st Birthday, can’t wait for the @bbcstrictly Launch show tonight!”

In the first snap, a topless Adam posed for the camera while showing off his newly-acquired dancer’s body.

The second pic showed the star about to enjoy a dip in a jacuzzi, no doubt wanting to soothe his aching muscles after a strenuous amount of dance rehearsals.

However, this isn’t the first time the swimmer has had his pictures removed by Instagram.

Five days ago Adam shared a snap of him and his Strictly co-star McFly star Tom Fletcher stripping off for a spray tan.

But Olympian Adam soon shared his surprise after the post was removed by Instagram for “sexual activity”.

In the snap, posted to Adam’s account, he is seen completely naked as he smiles at the camera.

McFly singer Tom appears closer to the camera, holding his hand up to cover Adam’s modesty.

However, Instagram flagged the snap for a “violation” of its guidelines, leading Adam to express his “bewilderment” at the platform’s decision.

Adam previously revealed that he was looking forward to taking part in the popular dance show as he has never been “uncomfortable.”

Speaking with BBC Radio 1’s Steve Holden, the athlete said: “I’m absolutely bricking it. I’ve swam for seven years.

“I’ve gone through the constant cycle of championship, go back to training, go back to the drawing board, another championship, how do we break world records?

“But, I’ve never truly been uncomfortable. This is going to be very interesting, I’m going to be very uncomfortable,” he added.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to screens tonight at 7.45pm on BBC One.
