Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova discuss Strictly return
Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has broken her silence after pictures of her appearing to be tearful emerged after the Pride of Britain Awards on Sunday night.
In pictures obtained by Mail Online, the 34-year-old seemed overcome with emotion as she and her boyfriend Kai Widdrington reportedly left the event in London early.
In one snap, the dancer was snapped with her head on her fellow Strictly pro’s shoulder as he embraced her with a hug in a taxi.
Another shows the pair holding hands as she seemingly tried to avoid the cameras catching her emotional appearance.
Nadiya and Kai are said to have left the event early for an unknown reason. Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for the dancer for comment.

Whatever the issue was, the dancer has now seemed to have put it to one side as she spoke out this afternoon.
Alongside a picture of her, Kai and his celebrity dance partner Angela Rippon, she wrote: “What a brilliant time at @prideofbritain last night. It never fails to inspire me.
“Lovely to spend the evening with Kai & Angela too.
“There is so much talent on Strictly this year and it’s wonderful to see their partnership developing.
“Can’t wait to see their dance this weekend.”

Just hours before her emotional display, she, Kai and Angela were all smiles on the red carpet.
Nadiya, who began dating Kai following her split from fiancé Matija Škarabot last year, is not paired up with a celebrity this year.
Taking to social media after learning the news, she expressed her disappointment with fans.
Nadiya wrote: “I’m sure you’ll understand that I’m disappointed not to be partnered with a celebrity on @bbcstrictly this series.
“It is an amazing show to be a part of and I’m still so excited for all the group numbers, performing with some of our music acts and much much more.
“I’m also looking forward to supporting my fellow pros and I want to wish all the couples the best of luck for the competition this year.”
The dancer has since said she will be throwing her support behind Kai and Angela, who have so far impressed the judges with a Foxtrot, Cha Cha and Quickstep.
Since joining the show in 2017, Nadiya has been partnered up with Matt Goss, Davood Ghadami, Lee Ryan, David James and Dan Walker.
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday on BBC One at 6.30pm.
