Susanna Reid cuts off GMB co-star in awkward moment as viewers left cringing

Susanna Reid shuts down Andi Peters over Ed Ball’s piano skills

Susanna Reid cut off Andi Peters mid-sentence after he slammed Ed Balls’ piano skills.

During Monday’s Good Morning Britain, the ITV broadcaster came to the former politician’s defence after she praised the tune he played which could be heard in the background.

While chatting to Andi Peters over a video link, he told Ed: “You’re getting a watch [for Christmas].”

“I thought you were going to give him piano lessons,” Susanna chuckled.

A stunned Ed appeared mortified, as Andi remarked: “I’ve already done it online for me.”

Susanna suggested Andi was on his own when it came to his opinion on Ed’s piano-playing ability as she read out messages from viewers praising the presenter.

Andi commented: “Do you know what it is Susanna…,” to which she cut in and said: “No Andi, no.”

He then suggested he didn’t mean to dismiss Ed’s skills and joked he believed the politician was far too talented.

Viewers took to X and reacted to the cheeky moment as some people admitted they were unimpressed by Ed playing the piano.

But others were impressed with Ed as a fifth person added: “@GMB @andipeters how rude you are! @edballs your piano playing was brilliant. Thank you.”
