The celebrity children who have rebelled against their famous parents

Meet the A-list offspring who have REBELLED against their famous parents – from Chet Hanks to Kelly Osbourne – as Charlie Sheen finally gives his blessing to daughter Sami’s OnlyFans account

  • Celebrities’ children usually have to deal with being thrust into the limelight
  • For some, the pressure can prove to be too much and many being acting out
  • Chet Hanks and Chelsea Belle O’Donnell are among those who have rebelled

Celebrities’ children usually have to deal with being thrust into the limelight at an early age.

For some, the pressure can prove to be too much and many respond by acting out as a result.

Most recently, Charlie Sheen and Denise Richard’s daughter, Sami Sheen, joined OnlyFans – which left her father furious.

‘This did not occur under my roof. She is 18 years old now and living with her mother,’ he noted in a statement to Us Weekly, apparently trying to shift any blame on Richards, whom he was divorced from in 2006.

‘I do not condone this but since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity,’ Sheen added.

More recently, Denise told Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast the Two and a Half Men star is actually impressed by Sami’s earnings on the site.

She said: ‘When she first did OnlyFans he was not happy and I think was public about it, which she didn’t appreciate and he’s changed his tune.

‘He changed his tune when she bought a Mercedes and moved into a house so maybe he was like, “maybe this ain’t so bad after all!”‘

But Sami would not be the first to act out against their parents’ better judgement.

There are a whole host of missteps by celeb kids that have been made public – including DUIs, porn and racial slurs.

From Chet Hanks to Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, DailyMail.com has laid bare some of Hollywood’s worst behaved children.

Chet Hanks

Chet Hanks is the troubled son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and he has a lengthy rap sheet

Chet Hanks, who is the troubled son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, has a lengthy rap sheet.

He previously shared about his drug addiction, which he claimed to have battled since he was just a teen.

‘I’ve been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16 years old. Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help,’ he shared on Instagram in 2014.

In another series of videos he revealed that he had been selling drugs before deciding to check into rehab.

‘A couple months ago I was selling coke [and] doing coke until I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged. I even smoked crack,’ he explained.

Chet later opened up on the Ivan Paychecks podcast, stating that his parents had sent him to a ‘wilderness camp’ back in 2008 to help him deal with his addiction issues when he was still in high school.

He had recounted the morning he had woken up to find men surrounding his bed, prepared to escort him to the Utah camp.

‘Bald heads, like military guys looking like bouncers, you know? And I’m like, “What the f***? What the f*** is going on?” They’re like, “You’re coming with us, we could do this the easy way or the hard way,” Chet expressed.

Chet previously shared about his drug addiction, which he claimed to have battled since he was 16 years old

But drug use was not Chet’s only misdemeanor – as he also has a history of using racial slurs.

In 2015, he defended his use of the N-word on social media, saying he believes it ‘unifies the culture of hip-hop across all races.’

In an Instagram post, he said: ‘I do say the N-word in real life amongst my black friends who get me and can’t nobody tell me I can’t say what the f***k I feel like no disrespect to the struggle of black [people] during the civil rights movement but it’s 2015 now.’

While appearing on Showtime talk show ZIWE, he was asked if there were any marginalized communities he wanted to apologize to, but Hanks simply replied: ‘Nah.’

Chet has also routinely been hit with claims of ‘cultural appropriation’ for frequently attempting to speak in a fake ‘Jamaican’ accent – including at the Golden Globes in 2020.

However, he defended his actions when speaking about cultural appropriation in an Instagram video in February.

He asked: ‘Why are we so caught up on this idea of theft and stealing?’

He also has a record of using racial slurs. In 2015, Chet defended his use of the N-word on social media

‘Why are we so quick to be angry and tense over the blurring of racial communities, instead of just being welcoming towards it?’

He also faced backlash when he declared he was having a ‘white boy summer.’

‘I just got this feeling, man, that this summer, it’s about to be a white boy summer,’ he said blankly.

‘Take it how you want,’ he continued. ‘I’m not talking about Trump, Nascar-type white boy summer, I’m talking about me, Jon B, Jack Harlow–type white boy summer. You know what I mean? Let me know if you guys can vibe with that.’

He added in his caption: ‘Is it bout to be a #WhiteboySummer or am I trippin ???? Tag a REAL vanilla king #Respectfully.’

And things have got worse still for Chet after being accused of domestic abuse in 2021 by ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker.

A civil suit filed by Parker alleged she was physically and psychologically terrorized by Hanks between October 2020 and 2021.

In 2021 Chet was accused of domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker

The lawsuit stated that Hanks shoved and grabbed his ex-girlfriend, threatened to carry out a murder-suicide and branded her a ‘ghetto black b****’ who wouldn’t be believed.

Hanks’ lawyer dismissed Parkers’ allegations as a ‘shakedown,’ and claims they are in response to a suit filed by Hanks, claiming that Parker attacked him with a pot, leaving him with blood gushing from a wound on his forehead.

Parker, in legal documents, said that Hanks had approached her with a knife in the incident, and she hit him with a pot to defend herself; she received a temporary restraining order.

Meanwhile his attorney branded the claims ‘completely false, fabricated and fictional.’

Chet also sparked a feud with Eric Andre after appearing on his show and acting raucously.

Andre, 39, called him ‘dangerous and emotionally disturbed.’

The feud erupted between the two when the funnyman said the actor was ‘not well’ and ‘stole a motorcycle’ while filming The Eric Andre show in an explosive interview with Rolling Stone.

Andre said: ‘Chet Hanks, on the other hand, was a tough cookie. He broke our crew. It felt like Rust. He broke us down.

He also sparked a feud with Eric Andre after appearing on his show and acting raucously. Andre, 39, called him ‘dangerous and emotionally disturbed.’ The feud erupted between the two when the funnyman said the actor was ‘not well’ and ‘stole a motorcycle’

‘He is… emotionally disturbed. He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders. It was very dangerous.

‘He tried to prank us back, but we edited out all his bulls***! He’s not well. How did Colin Hanks come out so good and Chet Hanks come out so bad?’

An incensed Chet took to Instagram to hit back at ‘p***y’ Andre, claimed he ‘outshone’ the star on his own show and that he was ‘easily scared.’

‘He must just not have liked that the fact I f*****g outshined you on your own f*****g show, and honestly, when I was on there, the dude seemed shook ’cause when I came out and sat down, he seemed, like, genuinely nervous, like, just being around me, the dude seemed like f*****g shook I don’t know what it was.

‘There’s a lot of f*****g weirdos in Hollywood, and I think you are one of them,’ he added. ‘I thought you were funny and cool, but it turns out you’re just a p***y, dude. That’s what’s up.’

He branded Andre ‘really soft and really nervous’ and concluded: ‘I was just playing along with your schtick dude, but, you know, it is what it is. Some people are just straight b*****s and apparently, Eric André is one.’

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne grew up with rockstar parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. They were notorious for living life on the wild side themselves so it wasn’t too surprising when Kelly started down a similar path

Kelly Osbourne grew up with rockstar parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

They were notorious for living life on the wild side themselves so it wasn’t too surprising when Kelly started down a similar path.

In an essay with Mogul’s #IAmAMogul campaign, she penned about how she struggled growing up in the public eye.

‘In my life, I have been publicly labeled everything from a drug addict, fat, a racist, a spoilt brat, talentless, too skinny to be America’s Sweetheart,’ she wrote.

‘As a result of this, I would do anything to not be me.

‘I would go to bed praying to wake up anyone else but myself. I fed into the media stories, I played up to being a brat, and I was the definition of lost.’

In an essay with Mogul’s #IAmAMogul campaign, she penned how she became the ‘brat’ after the press labeled her as one (pictured in 2003)

In her book, Fierce, which was released in 2009, Kelly admitted to becoming addicted to Vicodin at the age of just 16, revealing that she first tried the opiate-based drug when she was 13, after being prescribed it during a routine operation to remove her tonsils

She started a journey of sobriety in 2017 (pictured in 2010)

In her book, Fierce, which was released in 2009, Kelly admitted to becoming addicted to Vicodin at the age of just 16.

She revealed that she first tried the opiate-based drug when she was 13, after being prescribed it during a routine operation to remove her tonsils.

But it was when she began clubbing as a teen she developed a real habit, after being offered pills of the drug by an acquaintance.

Kelly’s addiction grew serious when her mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2002.

‘I was trying to stay strong so I took Vicodin to hide the terrible sadness. But by this point, I was waking up and emptying six Vicodin into my hand.

‘Soon I was taking 50 pills a day. Most people would overdose on ten.’

She started a journey of sobriety in 2017 – but it has not been an easy path.

‘I relapsed, not proud of it but I’m back on track and I will be doing a podcast this week where I tell everybody about what’s going on and what happened.’

Weston Cage

Weston Cage, Nicholas Cage’s son, has quite the track record

Nicholas Cage’s son Weston has quite the track record.

Not only has he been arrested on two charges of domestic violence and one DUI but he is also on his fourth marriage after the other three ended in messy splits.

Like most celebrity children tearaways, his bad behavior started with substance abuse, telling People: ‘Alcohol became a nightmare.’

The Lord Of War star said he was drinking 30 beers a day and would add a box of wine and hard alcohol to the mix as well.

His troubling habits began to bubble to the surface when he made headlines in 2011 after he, at the age of 20, was arrested twice for domestic violence during his marriage to Nikki Williams.

They had separated after the first incident but briefly reunited in 2011.

But, following yet another clash, they pair filed for divorce which was settled by 2012.

He shares sons Lucian, almost four, and Sorin, almost two, with second wife Danielle whom he wed in 2013 and split from in 2016. He revealed that his son is what helped him become sober (pictured in 2015)

In 2012, Weston began telling friends where to scatter his ashes when he landed in the hospital after suffering from intense withdrawals from alcohol.

However, his life seemed to turn around for the better when he met second wife Danielle.

‘I really changed once I met her,’ the actor said. ‘She’s beautiful and a great person. She’s balanced. We met through a friend.

‘As soon as we started talking we clicked. We became friends and then we started falling in love.’

He added, ‘She embodies everything I love, she is the definition of perfection. She is extremely loving, and beautiful inside and out.’

They found out she was pregnant just two days before their wedding – and it was the birth of his son that inspired Weston to get sober.

‘He saved my life because as soon as I saw him I didn’t want to drink anymore,’ he previously told DailyMail.com.

‘It’s been over one year and I have not had a drop of alcohol. It’s just not worth it. And I don’t miss the hangovers.

‘Life if getting better and better, it’s more positive,’ said the singer.

He shares sons Lucian and Sorin with second wife Danielle whom he wed in 2013 – but the couple split in 2016.

After the divorce, his father Nicolas Cage volunteered to pay child support for his grandchildren.

In 2017, Weston smashed his car into a tree and was charged with a DUI and two hit and run accounts

He then wed his third wife, Hila Aronian, in 2018. They had twin daughters, Cyress and Venice, in 2020. However, they separated in June

Documents relating to the split revealed the singer-and-actor will be handing over half of a ‘monthly gift’ he receives from his dad to his former partner and their two kids.

He then wed third wife Hila Aronian in 2018 with whom he welcomed twin daughters Cyress and Venice in 2020.

But the couple separated in June – which left him in a bitter child support battle once again.

He penned an Instagram post, titled ‘Justice For Weston Starts Now,’ calling people out for trying to steal from him and his famous father.

It read: ‘Various materialistic people and those who are insidiously inspired by my fame and the fame of my family have ceaselessly tried to destroy me.’

He added: ‘People that meet us have a false fantasy that my father, uncles, and I will be catering to their dreams of making people famous or that we have money growing on trees to hand out.’

‘When their fantasies are squashed, they hold us hostage with smear campaigns that certain journalists live to be the “first to cover the drama,”‘ he added.

Now, Weston is set to tie the knot with his fourth wife Ermelinda Manos.

Montana Fisburne, daughter of prestigious actor Lawrence Fishburne, has not only been arrested for prostitution and a DUI but also made a sex tape that she intended to leak.

Montana was arrested for prostitution in November 2009. Not long after that, she expressed her desire to make the sex tape.

She was 19 years old at the time and expressed to TMZ that she hoped a sex tape would propel her onto the A-list.

‘I view making this movie as an important first step in my career,’ said Montana.

Not long after that, she expressed her desire to make the sex tape. She was 19 years old at the time and expressed to TMZ that she hoped a sex tape will propel her onto the A-list

She added: ‘I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape.

‘I’m hoping the same magic will work for me. I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it.’

But her famous father was less than pleased with her sex tape plans.

Montana told TMZ that her dad said: ‘I’m not going to speak with you ’till you turn your life around.’

Even though she didn’t become an A-List star as she had hoped, she still went on to forge a career in the porn industry.

Unfortunately, she found herself in trouble with the law again when she got in a car accident and was arrested for a DUI in 2017

Unfortunately, she found herself in trouble with the law again when she got in a car accident and was arrested for a DUI in 2017.

She was charged with DUI, DUI with property damage and DUI with blood alcohol readings above .15.

During the arrest, a source told DailyMail.com that she ‘ranted about Donald Trump, her porn career and Michael Jackson, and made sexually explicit comments to cops.’

She also urinated on the side of the road.

Montana ended up entering a rehab facility in California months later.

Cameron Douglas

Cameron Douglas unfortunately fell down the same path of addiciton as his father Michael Douglas and grandfather Kirk Douglas

Cameron Douglas unfortunately fell down the same path of addiction as both his father Michael Douglas and grandfather Kirk Douglas.

Cameron started abusing drink and drugs when he was 13 — buying marijuana in New York’s Central Park and experimenting with hallucinogenic mushrooms and LSD.

As his parents’ marriage disintegrated, Cameron was kicked out of a string of expensive schools for drug use in the early 1990s.

Aged 17, Cameron started taking heroin which he injected along with liquid cocaine until at the peak of his addition, he was injecting three times every hour.

More for the adrenaline kick than the money, Cameron started robbing motels, armed with an air pistol that looked like a real gun.

He liked to fight and, in his late teens, had a violent altercation one night with his father.

At 19, Cameron spent four months in adult jail for carrying a gun, managing to hide his famous heritage until his father visited one day in a chauffeur-driven limousine

By the time mom Diandra filed for divorce from his father in 1995, Cameron’s delinquency was so uncontrollable he was made a ward of court after a judge ruled his mother couldn’t handle him.

He spent the next few years bouncing between juvenile detention facilities, rehabilitation centers and camps for troubled teenagers.

At 19, Cameron spent four months in adult jail for carrying a gun, managing to hide his famous heritage until his father visited one day in a chauffeur-driven limousine.

Cameron was furious in 2004 when Michael hired three men to whisk him off to rehab. The men ‘tried to reason with me,’ says Cameron who responded with violent threats.

‘I’m not going to nurture a relationship with you because I think you’re going to die,’ Michael said.

‘You’re going to overdose, or someone’s going to kill you, or you’re going to kill someone. I’m trying to prepare myself emotionally for that.’

By then, Cameron had become a dealer, selling highly addictive crystal meth and cocaine and robbing other dealers at gunpoint.

In 2009, by then a heroin addict for nearly five years, armed DEA agents ambushed Cameron in a New York hotel room and arrested him.

They let him go out quietly through a back exit to avoid embarrassing his famous family.

Thankfully, Cameron (seen in 2019) was able to turn his prison experience around. He was released one year early from a seven-year sentence after he committed to getting sober

Cameron, now drug-free, has a young daughter with his yoga-teacher girlfriend Viviane

His sentence was doubled after he was caught with drugs behind bars.

Cameron’s treatment in prison caused Douglas to speak out on behalf of his son.

‘At first I was certainly disappointed with my son, but I’ve reached a point now where I’m disappointed with the system,’ he said as per Business Insider.

‘If you happen to have a slip, they punish you. In my son’s case, he has spent almost two years in solitary confinement.’

Thankfully, Cameron was able to turn his prison experience around. He was released one year early from a seven-year sentence after he committed to getting sober.

Tallulah Willis

Tallulah Willis is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. The 29-year-old hit a rough patch when her father first fell ill

Before his dementia diagnosis was confirmed, she had felt he was just being distant which lead to depression, drug use and developing an eating disorder

Tallulah Willis, 29, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore,  hit a rough patch when her father first fell ill.

Before his dementia diagnosis was confirmed, she said she felt he was being distant which lead to depression, drug use and an eating disorder.

She hit rock bottom at just 15 years old and when she ingested an almost-lethal combination of pills and alcohol.

Tallulah admitted that her drug use stemmed from depression and mental health issues.

‘When I was 15, I guzzled vodka, and I almost died from alcohol poisoning,’ Tallulah revealed on Red Table Talk.

She had been living with her sister Rumer at the time, who eventually confronted her about her drinking after finding three wine bottles on her bedside table and discovering that some of her medicines had gone missing.

‘I was like, “I love you, [but] you cannot stay here anymore,”‘ Rumer, who appeared on the show with her, said.

‘Scout couldn’t wake me up. She was shaking me,’ the fashion designer recalled. ‘When I finally woke up, she was crying.’

However, once she got sober, her eating disorder worsened

The moment served as a wake up call to the teenager who entered rehab in 2014.

‘It was like the first window of sobriety,’ she said, later adding, ‘The feeling was like, you just have death on your bones. I had no regard for my life. I had no care.’

However, once she got sober, her eating disorder worsened.

‘For the last four years, I have suffered from anorexia nervosa, which I’ve been reluctant to talk about because, after getting sober at age 20, restricting food has felt like the last vice that I got to hold on to,’ Tallulah said in a lengthy Vogue piece.

She is still working on recovering from the disorder.

Indio Downey

Fans of Robert Downey Jr. undoubtedly remember his comeback from his days of intense drug use. Unfortunately, his son Indio went down the same path as him had started doing drugs at just 12 years old

Fans of Robert Downey Jr. undoubtedly remember his comeback from his days of intense drug use.

Unfortunately, his son Indio went down the same path after starting using drugs at just 12 years old.

In October 2013, the National Enquirer reported that Indio had been admitted to a rehab facility for prescription pill abuse.

However, it didn’t seem to stick. By the time 2014 rolled around, Indio was arrested after cops found him with cocaine.

His father Robert took him to another rehab facility in Malibu.

A source told DailyMail.com at the time that Indio had been using drugs for eight years but hadn’t been able to stay clean.

In October 2013, the National Enquierer reported that Indio had been admitted to a rehab facility for prescription pill abuse. However, it didn’t seem to stick. By the time 2014 rolled around, Indio was arrested after cops found him with cocaine

‘Indio’s been using drugs and hard drugs as well for eight years so there’s been a million interventions and conversations and threats and AA meetings and sponsors. The list goes on.

‘None of it took, for the simple fact that Indio enjoys getting high and he found no compelling reason to not get high. It hasn’t effected his health yet, and he’s never going to find himself homeless, penniless and on the streets so the boy hasn’t hit the proverbial “bottom.”

‘It’s a tough road and Bob kicked Indio out of the house a few years ago, on the tough love principal, and that didn’t work, either. So we’ll see.’

His father Robert also admitted that his struggle with addiction likely played a factor.

‘Unfortunately there’s a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it,’ his rep said in a statement.

Chelsea O’Donnell

Chelsea O’Donnell had such a troubled relationship with her mother Rosie that she claims she was kicked out of the house when she was 12 years old and once again when she was 17

Just before her 18th birthday, Rosie claimed she ran away. However, Chelsea claimed that her mom kicked her out

Chelsea O’Donnell had such a starined relationship with famous mother Rosie that she claims she was kicked out of the house twice – once when she was just 12 years old and again when she was 17.

She said that she moved in with Kelli Carpenter at the age of 12.

‘I was really happy there,’ Chelsea said. ‘Kelli had just bought a new house and I got to help her paint it and put together rooms. Anne was there, they had just started dating, and the three of us were always hanging out which was a lot of fun for me.

‘I didn’t really see Rosie at all at that time. I never felt connected to her and I never really enjoyed being around her.’

She initially enjoyed the space from her mom, but things changed.

‘Things were good when I was younger but as I got older, I became more interested in knowing about my birth parents and didn’t really get along with Rosie very well.’

Chelsea said: ‘The school would help me work through my emotional things or work on my relationships with family because they were not so great at the time.

‘I didn’t really enjoy it. It was really far away, really strict and in the middle of nowhere. The people were great – I’m still in contact with almost all of them.’

But the experience of being separated from her family for so long left her feeling alone.

‘I felt I’d been sent away,’ Chelsea said. ‘She [Rosie] said it was because she wanted to protect me and do what was best but I was 12. I was having a lot of struggles, realizing I like boys and not knowing how to handle those feelings. I may not have gone about it in the best way.’

She added: ‘I resent her for that. That’s four years of my life that were spent sent away to places where I had very limited freedom and I didn’t want to be.

‘I think being sent away has played a huge part in why our relationship is so hard.’

The two reconnected when Chelsea fell pregnant with her first baby at 20 years old

After attending a number of therapeutic boarding schools, she moved back in with Rosie.

However, just before her 18th birthday, Rosie claimed she ran away as Chelsea insisted that her mom had kicked her out.

‘She told me to leave and take my dog,’ Chelsea claimed. ‘Rosie said that I was almost 18, and she got all this crap from work, and she didn’t want to have to deal with that at home too.’

The 17-year-old was eventually found at her 25-year-old heroin dealer boyfriend’s house.

The public dispute over their differing stories lead to an even bigger rift between the mother and daughter.

‘Chelsea is mentally ill,’ Rosie told DailyMail.com in a separate interview. ‘[She] has been in and out of hospitals most of her life. Born addicted to heroin. She has had a tough road.’

‘As for her comments, I assume you are paying her, which is why she is selling these tales to you… She is very sick. She is not capable of truth or reason. She has not been in touch with anyone since her husband tried to extort $9,000 from this family.’

However, Chelsea retorted that she didn’t believe she was ‘mentally ill.’

Chelsea told DailyMail.com: ‘I wouldn’t say I’m mentally ill – I would say lots of people struggle with what I have.’

She added said: ‘I find her not genuine a lot of the time. When we’d go out, she was a completely different person in public than at home and I had a hard time with that. It’s like two different people.’

The two reconnected when Chelsea fell pregnant with her first baby at 20 years old.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman share kids Isabella and Connor Cruise.

But, when the couple split in 2001, the kids both decided to stay with their father full-time.

They have now have cut off contact with their mother and have turned to the Church of Scientology.

‘They live with Tom, which was their choice,’ the actress told Hello! magazine in 2010. ‘I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?’

Likely due to their father’s influence, they both came members of the Church of Scientology – a cult-like religion that is riddled with controversy.

When Tom and Nicole split in 2001, the kids had to choose how they wanted to split their time between the two parents

While Nicole – who reportedly split with Tom over her refusal to join the church – wasn’t happy about this, she admitted that she had to accept their choices once they reached adulthood

While Nicole – who reportedly split with Tom over her refusal to join the church – wasn’t happy about this, she admitted that she had to accept their choices once they reached adulthood.

‘They are adults,’ the Big Little Lies star said in an interview with Australia’s Who magazine.

‘They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.’

Since then, a source told OK magazine that they are not only still committed to Scientology but have risen high in the ranks of the church.

‘Like Tom, they’ve become Scientology royalty,’ shared an insider, who says Connor, 26, has joined the upper ranks at the religion’s headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, while Isabella, 28, has risen to the status of an auditor.

‘They’re VIPs, but they don’t like people making a huge deal about them.’
