After it was announced that the pop star has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category for “Hold My Hand” from the “Top Gun: Maverick” soundtrack, the veteran congratulated his “Love for Sale” collaborator on social media.

Making use of Twitter on Tuesday, the 96-year-old shared a photo of him and GaGa. Alongside the snap, he penned, “Congratulations to the amazingly talented @ladygaga on her 4th Oscar nomination! Today, Lady Gaga makes history as the first artist to receive three nominations in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the #Oscars. So proud of you!”
