Fashion icon Hilary Alexander has sadly died at the age of 77.
The fashion journalist and New Zealand native died on her 77th birthday on Sunday.
Hilary became famous for her knowledge of the fashion inustry – and worked as a writer and broadcaster for the likes on BBC, CNN and Hello Magazine.
She was also the former fashion director of The Daily Telegraph.
Known as "Hils" to her celebrity friends, she first started her career on Fleet Street.
At the age of 16, she began working as a trainee reporter and worked her way up to fashion editor of the Daily Telegraph in 1982.
It is believed that Hilary coined the term 'supermodel'.
