Hot on the heels of Made in Chelsea ’s explosive return to our screens this week with a special Sydney based spin-off series, all eyes have been on fan favourite Ruby Adler and her new love interest JJ van Der Vliet.
As regular viewers will know, there was some clear chemistry between the pair unfolding on screen during the debut episode of the new series, which first hit our screens on Monday 18 December.
In the episode, Ruby, who broke up with her model boyfriend Nicholas Sinclair in September, met JJ for the first time after he joined the cast for their trip Down Under, and within minutes the couple had already begun to exchange plenty of flirty banter while living the high life at a lavish high profile event.
They couple even had a little helping hand from fellow newcomer Hugo Mackenzie-Wood, who stepped in to play matchmaker by prompting Ruby to continue her conversation with JJ – something which ultimately lead to them planning their first date together!
With romance now on the cards for Ruby, things could be looking up for her love life – but who exactly is mysterious newcomer JJ?

30 year old JJ may look like he’s stepped off the set of Neighbours, but the stylish hunk actually hails from the UK originally and only moved to Australia at the age of seven, when his dad relocated to work as a football coach.
Growing up in the small seaside town of Bundeena, south of Sydney, JJ soon discovered a love of technology at an early age and even went on to secure a highly lucrative job in tech sales, which is where he earns most of his wealth.
The stylish star, who still has plenty of extended family in Fulham and Surrey, currently resides in north Bondi, just a stone’s throw away from the world renowned beach.
Describing himself as “confident, charismatic, tall, dark and handsome,” JJ has made no secret of his search for love, with the star even admitting he’s happily single and enjoying casual dating at the moment with no strings attached.
As per his own admission: “The summer months are when everything happens in Bondi, relationships, parties and fun times.”
When he’s not busy dating, working, or starring on Made in Chelsea, JJ is a big fan of exercise and loves to keep fit whenever he can – something which is vital when it comes to wanting to stand a fighting chance on the Bondi dating scene.
Like many people living in the area, JJ loves to unwind at the beach, hang out with his friends and travel whenever the opportunity presents itself – something which could fit in well with Ruby’s own lifestyle if the couple decide to embark on a long term romance.
