Who is Lady Leshurr?

Lady Leshurr real name is Melesha Katrina O'Garro and she was born in Birmingham in 1988.

The brunette beauty is an acclaimed rapper and musician, and according The Guardian learnt to “rap, produce, mix, master, everything” at her local youth club.

Her most famous creative output is her Queen's Speech rap, which is four parts and has reached over 60 million views on Youtube.

She was awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to charity and music.

What else has Lady Leshurr been in?

She starred in the Birmingham-based feature film 1 Day.

Dancing On Ice was not her first foray into reality TV, as she competed in the 2020 series of Masterchef, before taking part in Channel 4's The Celebrity Circle for Stand Up For Cancer, where she won after pretending to be Big Narstie.

Who is Lady Leshurr dating?

It is not know whether Lady Leshurr is currently dating, although she was previously in a relationship with Paigey Cakey, another British rapper.

Lady Leshurr came out as pansexual on Instagram, which means she is attracted to all genders.

She wrote: "Pansexual & proud!! It’s taken me almost a decade to realise that i’m attracted to the aura, the energy, the connection, rather than the sex or gender identity.

“I’ve met guys and girls that have made me feel quite special. But the past few years i’ve realised i’m actually not attracted to a gender at all.

"I’m quite free & open about this now & i’ve never felt happier".

Legal troubles

On Saturday, 22 October, Lady Leshurr was arrested and charged with two counts of Actual Bodily Harm by the Metropolitan Police following a fight in Leyton, London.

Two women, both aged 27, were taken to hospital following the fight – they have since been discharged.

Leshurr was charged along with another woman and are set to appear in Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday, 24 October

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Two women have been charged with assault in Leyton. Melesha O’Garro, 34, (15/12/1987) was charged with two counts of ABH at Knotts Green Road, E10 on Saturday, 22 October.

"Sherelle Smith, 28, (23/07/1994) was charged with one count of ABH at Knotts Green Road, E10 on Saturday, 22 October. Both will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 24 October.

"The two women were charged after police were called at 05:08hrs on Saturday, 22 October to Knotts Green Mews, E10 following reports of a fight at the location.

"Two women – both aged 27 – were taken to hospital. They have since been discharged."
