Terrified woman, 39, claims Amazon employee took her personal information from a package to find her on Facebook and send her a ‘creepy’ message
- Jamie Strazzero, of Massachusetts, broke down the unsettling incident on TikTok
- She had been with her parents when a stranger messaged her on Facebook
- They’d sent her a photo of her Amazon package seemingly from a warehouse
A woman has been left terrified after receiving Facebook messages from an Amazon employee who she claims got her personal information off of a package.
Pet trainer Jamie Strazzero, of Newburyport, Massachusetts, took to TikTok to break down the unsettling incident.
‘The first guy I talked to at Amazon literally said, “That is so creepy. I have never heard of this happening before,”‘ she began the anecdote in a one-minute, 39-second video shared this week.
She went on to explain that she was watching a movie with her parents when her phone dinged, notifying her she’d gotten a direct message on Facebook.
Jamie Strazzero, from Massachusetts, revealed an unsettling incident in which an Amazon employee messaged her on Facebook after she claims he got her information off her package
The woman spent the ensuing days chasing down people to assist her through Amazon customer service
It turned out to be from a stranger she wasn’t Facebook friends with — and they’d sent her a note that said, ‘I got your package here,’ along with a photo of Jamie’s Amazon package, seemingly taken from a facility somewhere.
At first believing it to be a scam, Jamie was shocked when the person then messaged her: ‘Sorry I was just bored.’
‘So an employee of Amazon looked at my package, took their phone out, looked my name up, found me on Facebook, and sent me a private message,’ Jamie recapped.
‘Am I the only one who thinks this is wicked freaking creepy? Like I know Amazon has all my personal information. I shop there literally every day.
‘But why would an employee get on their phone and look up one of the customers based off their package, and then send them a picture of their package?’
Alarmed, Jamie immediately got in touch with Amazon’s customer service.
‘The first guy at Amazon is like, “Oh my god, so creepy. Really, really creepy. This has never happened before. Then the supervisor is like, “Yah this is really creepy. Can you send the screenshots?”‘
Jamie, after submitting the incriminating screenshots to the company’s Twitter account per the supervisor’s instructions, then went about blocking the person on every social media platform she found them on.
Jamie also filed a police report to leave a ‘paper trail’ around the strange occurrence
Viewers rushed to the comments to commiserate with Jamie’s alarm at the series of events

‘Because man, leave me alone, that’s creepy as s***!’ she said.
In a series of subsequent TikToks, Jamie continued to describe how she navigated Amazon’s labyrinthian customer service — as well as sharing that she filed a police report to make a ‘paper trail’ around the original incident.
When her package finally arrived — containing the innocuous purchase of a laundry basket — Jamie was also spooked to discover the tape had been broken on one side.
As of December 1, Jamie had a call scheduled with an employee named Andreya from Amazon.com’s ‘Executive Customer Relations,’ as was written in the latest communiqué to Jamie from the retail giant.
Viewers flooded the comments section to commiserate with Jamie’s discomfort at the disturbing series of events.
‘That’s terrifying omg,’ one wrote.
‘Nah cuz “sorry I was bored” sounds way too much like “because you were home” from The Strangers movie,’ a second added.
‘That’s a security breach. They are not allowed to have phones on the floor. If the [supervisor] won’t do anything reach out to Amazon [HR],’ a third pointed out.
‘I do data entry in freight delivery, and like, I’ve WANTED to find the lady who gets 6k lbs of tortillas a month, but I would never ACTUALLY???’ a fourth admitted.
Another TikTok user chimed in with a similar story to share, ‘Like after I had surgery I had a [Facebook] friend request from the surgeon tech the next day! No one did anything after I reported it.
