{"id":68707,"date":"2023-08-30T21:08:57","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T21:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geels.net\/?p=68707"},"modified":"2023-08-30T21:08:57","modified_gmt":"2023-08-30T21:08:57","slug":"everyone-thrilled-as-eastenders-dismissed-one-of-its-worst-stories-in-a-sentence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geels.net\/beauty\/everyone-thrilled-as-eastenders-dismissed-one-of-its-worst-stories-in-a-sentence\/","title":{"rendered":"Everyone thrilled as EastEnders dismissed one of its worst stories in a sentence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-2023-08-30T132521.731-dcd1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>As if 2023 couldn\u2019t get any better, EastEnders has just dismissed one of its worst storylines of all time, and fans couldn\u2019t be happier about it.<\/p>\n<p>Cast your mind back, if you will, to the dreaded year that was 2020\u2026 Horrible, we know, but it\u2019s necessary.<\/p>\n<p>You may remember that in February of that year, Sharon Watts\u2019 (Letitia Dean) son Denny tragically died in the boat crash.<\/p>\n<p>Devastated Sharon later discovered that Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) had locked him in a room below deck, and blamed him for her son\u2019s untimely death.<\/p>\n<p>In a bid to get her revenge, she began poisoning him, in one of the most bizarre storylines in EastEnders history.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sharon POISONS Ian Beale \u2620\ufe0f\ud83e\uddea | EastEnders\" width=\"810\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ic-UvfAYqMY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Viewers were stunned as she fed him a poisoned carbonara, between finally coming clean and stopping him from finishing the dish.<\/p>\n<p>Following her confession, Ian fled the Square, and hadn\u2019t been seen by anyone since, until last night\u2019s (August 29) dramatic episode.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon was gobsmacked to see Ian back in the Queen Vic, but there were more shocks to come as Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) burst into the room, very much alive.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>In tonight\u2019s (August 30) episode, the fallout of Cindy and Ian\u2019s returns was far reaching, with the residents of Walford all trying to get their heads around her miraculous return from the dead.<\/p>\n<p>While Cindy remained the main topic of conversation for many, Sharon\u2019s priorities fell elsewhere, as she tried her best to reconcile with former best friend and ex-husband Ian.<\/p>\n<p>As the pair came face to face for the first time since that fateful night in 2021, Sharon revealed that she had done a lot of thinking about what had happened during that time, and she didn\u2019t want that to ruin the friendship they previously had.<\/p>\n<p>As Ian pointed out that she had tried to kill him, Sharon managed to put an end to that whole saga with just one sentence.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So did Cindy, but you seemed to find a way to get past that\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Boom.
