THE CORRIE Street cast are raring to go as they head to the National Television Awards to take on dramas EastEnders and Emmerdale.<\/p>\n
The huge annual awards ceremony is being hosted in the O2 arena tonight and stars from the famous soap were all smiles as they boarded a train headed for the capital. <\/p>\n

Coronation Street\u00a0is up against Emmerdale, EastEnders and Hollyoaks for the Serial Drama award.<\/p>\n
Andy Whyment posted a group photo to his Instagram account as he travels to the NTAs with Daniel Brocklebank, Claire Sweeney, Sally Carman, Joe Duttine, and Peter Ash.<\/p>\n
The actors looked comfortable in casual clothes as they grinned at the camera wearing t-shirts and shorts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Several of them reposted the image to their stories, sharing their excitement at the upcoming ceremony.<\/p>\n

Andy, who plays Kirk Sutherland on the show, recently landed a new job in connection with Corrie.<\/p>\n
The Salford star showed diehard fans around the soap's studios this summer as part of a VIP Star Tour. <\/p>\n
Two stars who were not pictured, Charlotte Jordan and Maureen Lipman, have been nominated for a separate award based on their performances. <\/p>\n
Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey in the soap, also has a chance to win a trophy as a Rising Star.<\/p>\n
