Wipe away your tears, though, because this season promises to be the best yet, with the friends moving on from Moordale High and embracing an exciting, if daunting, new future.<\/p>\n Student sex therapist Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) are starting at Cavendish Sixth Form College, while Maeve (Emma Mackey) is studying in the States, being taught by famous author Thomas Molloy (Schitt\u2019s Creek star Dan Levy). Adam (Connor Swindells) is working as an apprentice at a local farm and Aimee (Aimee-Lou Wood) is throwing herself into art. As for Otis\u2019 mum Jean (Gillian Anderson), she\u2019s as unpredictable as ever, trying her hand at hosting a radio show about sex and relationships. Set in seedy, dangerous 1970s New York, The Continental turns the spotlight on Winston Scott, the character played by Ian McShane in the movies. In this incarnation, we meet the young Winston (Colin Woodell) and learn how he rose to become the boss of the New York branch of The Continental hotel. Also starring Mel Gibson as the grizzled 1970s proprietor of The Continental, Cormac, it\u2019s atmospheric, glamorous and \u2013 this being the world of John Wick \u2013 very violent.<\/p>\n The Super Models<\/strong><\/p>\n Available from Wednesday<\/em><\/p>\n Back in the 1980s, four women lit a fuse under the world of fashion modelling, becoming as famous as the brands they were paid to wear and totally transforming the industry in the process. The only things that help to keep them sane(ish) are the late-night phone calls they regularly share while the rest of the world are fast asleep. Chatting for hours on end, the friends discuss their individual daily struggles, from relationship struggles and avoiding annoying neighbours, to getting one up on bitchy fellow school parents. Although the laughs don\u2019t exactly come thick and fast, and the show tends to try too hard to be zany, there\u2019s a good chemistry between the leads, a strong supporting cast (Samantha Spiro, Blake Harrison and Rich Fulcher) and it\u2019s certainly an intriguing set up.<\/p>\n No One Will Save You<\/strong><\/p>\n Available from Friday<\/em><\/p>\n A film\u2019s title doesn\u2019t always give you a good idea of what to expect. But something called No One Will Save You is unlikely to be a whimsical, light-hearted romcom, is it? And that\u2019s certainly the case here. Kaitlyn Dever – who wowed in dramas Unbelievable and Dopesick, not to mention Booksmart – stars in this tense psychological sci-fi thriller as Brynn, a smart but anxious young woman who lives a lonely life in the house where she grew up. Events take a sinister and scary turn one night when she\u2019s woken by\u00a0the sound of terrifying extraterrestrial intruders. Can she find a way to defeat them, and her anxieties?<\/p>\n Minx<\/strong><\/p>\n Available from Thursday<\/em><\/p>\n Fans of the first season of Minx – the irreverent, racy and hugely entertaining comedy about young 1970s feminist Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), who teams up with low-rent publisher Doug (Jake Johnson) to produce the world\u2019s first erotic magazine for women \u2013 were gutted when the show was cancelled by HBO last December. Fortunately, the show swiftly found a new home and here comes the second season, which promises more saucy, sassy laughs and drama. Having sold publishing company Bottom Dollar to a shipping magnate, which leads to Minx becoming a commercial success, Joyce and Doug are both left struggling \u2013 him with his place in the world and her with her newfound stardom.<\/p>\n Cassandro<\/strong><\/p>\n Available from Friday<\/em><\/p>\n Gael Garcia Bernal stars in this feelgood biopic about legendary gay wrestler Saul Armendariz, who found fame in 1980s Mexico as an exotico \u2013 a male wrestler who fights in drag. Revealing the bigotry and barriers Saul faced throughout the early stages of his career, as well as his remarkable rise to stardom, his romantic relationships and close bond with his mother Yocasta (Perla De La Rosa), it\u2019s heartwarming and funny, and features an extraordinary performance from Bernal. Whether you like wrestling or not, this film is likely to deliver a real smackdown.<\/p>\n Love Is Blind<\/strong><\/p>\n Available from Friday<\/em><\/p>\n A new season of Love Is Blind already? Yes, a mere five months after the last series concluded, the fifth season of the addictive dating show is here, ready to pair up more singletons willing to put their love lives on the line for our entertainment.
