The former footballer – who suffers with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) – gave fans a glimpse into his neat and tidy lifestyle as he\u00a0 was filmed for his new Netflix docuseries BECKHAM.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The fourth and final episode opened with a throwback clip of David in his teenage years saying he always keeps his room clean, noting ‘I hate an untidy room.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
It then cut to current day as the\u00a0sportsman, 46, was filmed running his hands across his clothing as he explained: ‘It’s all quite organised, jackets, jean shirts, shirts and then it goes from jumpers, cardis to T-shirts, underwear socks and then suits.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
He revealed that he sorted his jumpers by colour coordinating them then folding them at an angle in order to see what is underneath without moving them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He couldn’t hide his alarm when he opened his trousers draw and noticed the hangers were skewwhiff, announcing: ‘someone’s been in here.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
David has spoken about his battle with OCD in the past, telling\u00a0the Daily Mail: ‘I have got this obsessive compulsive disorder where I have to have everything in a straight line or everything has to be in pairs.’<\/p>\n
OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder, is a mental health condition that can affect anyone at any age. Sufferers typically develop obsessive thoughts and compulsions which have significant impacts on their daily life.<\/p>\n
This can manifest in many ways, including obsessive cleaning to a particular standard, body dysmorphia, compulsive skin picking and hoarding, the mental health charity Mind says.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the docuseries he admitted his compulsive behaviour disorder means he cleans his used candles every day – and he gives wife Victoria, 49, a telling off for leaving the salt out.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Filmed by a camera crew in his kitchen, David explained: ‘I clean [the house] so well, I’m not sure it’s actually appreciated so much by my wife, in all honesty.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Beckhams live in a \u00a325million mansion in Holland Park, London, which they purchased in 2013.<\/p>\n
It has eight bathrooms, seven bedrooms and a gym and spa.<\/p>\n
In the footage, Victoria told the crew of her husband: ‘He’s just so perfect,’ before telling David he is ‘appreciated’.<\/p>\n
But he jokes to the production team: ‘Don’t believe that for a second. She sounds so sarcastic when she says it.’<\/p>\n

Obsessive compulsive disorder, usually known as OCD, is a common mental health condition which makes people obsess over thoughts and develop behaviour they struggle to control.<\/p>\n
It can affect anyone at any age but normally develops during young adulthood.<\/p>\n
It can cause people to have repetitive unwanted or unpleasant thoughts.<\/p>\n
People may also develop compulsive behaviour \u2013 a physical action or something mental \u2013 which they do over and over to try to relieve the obsessive thoughts.<\/p>\n
The condition can be controlled and treatment usually involves psychological therapy or medication.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
It is not known why OCD occurs but risk factors include a family history of the condition, certain differences in brain chemicals, or big life events like childbirth or bereavement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
People who are naturally tidy, methodical or anxious are also more likely to develop it.<\/p>\n
