Kerry Katona has opened up about how she's going to have nose surgery, as it's collapsing due to her past drug use.<\/p>\n

The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, shared a live video with her 826,000 Instagram followers on Friday, 24 Novenber, as she updated them about how she'd visited Pall Mall cosmetics to inquire about getting an eye lift.<\/p>\n

But during her appointment, the doctor questioned whether she had ever had a nose job, before explaining that internal damage from her past drug use is now causing her nose to collapse.<\/p>\n

Kerry went on to explain that "we all make mistakes" as she detailed the scary reality that her addiction could have killed her as she said: "I shouldn\u2019t be here, I should be dead."<\/p>\n

Kerry revealed that she's due to undergo surgery in January as she added that she doesn't do drugs anymore – and is now "trying to put my body back together" as she described it as a "jigsaw puzzle."<\/p>\n

Speaking directly to her fans, Kerry said: "[The doctor] went, "your nose is collapsing." So I have damaged my nose from doing drugs.<\/p>\n

"I was offered to get it fixed years ago, and I said no, because for me it was a reminder never to touch it [drugs] again.<\/p>\n

"So he said, 'do you want us to fix it for you?' And I started crying because it's a massive 360 of where I was to where I am now. And I think wow wow wow, Ok I'll get it fixed."<\/p>\n

She continued: "Obviously I don't do drugs anymore, I've turned my life around and I'm very proud of myself. We all make mistakes and I think this is a reward for me but I'm scared!"<\/p>\n

Kerry confessed her past troubles with addiction was a sensitive subject for her as she teared up while explaining how "proud" she is of herself now.<\/p>\n

Her cocaine addiction could have ended her life on more than one occasion after she overdosed twice – and she previously admitted that she never thought she'd be around for her 42nd birthday.<\/p>\n

She said: "We all make mistakes. It could have turned out bad, I overdosed twice. I'm blessed to be alive and to get this amazing second chance. I'm doing well for myself, I'm proud of myself."<\/p>\n

Mum-of-five Kerry continued, saying: "Because the older you get your face does change …I shouldn\u2019t be here, I should be dead if it wasn\u2019t for my kids I would have been."<\/p>\n

Kerry has battled through a multitude of issues in her life from substance abuse, and bankruptcy to experiences of domestic violence.<\/p>\n

The star nearly met her demise from taking cocaine. Speaking to new! Magazine about her past, the reality star said: "The amount of coke I was once doing, I literally died.<\/p>\n

"I remember coming back [from the brink of death] with these beautiful figures around me and I felt so much love – that happened to me twice.<\/p>\n

"I\u2019d stopped breathing. So I know I have angels looking out for me. You can knock me down but you can\u2019t keep me down."<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
