A retired British strongman has tragically announced the loss of his unborn child.

Eddie Hall, 35, from Newcastle-under-Lyme is known for winning the World’s Strongest Man in 2017, but recently shared the heartbreaking loss of his unborn baby daughter.

On December 3, he shared to Instagram a picture of his ‘family-of-five’ to be – using the same snap wife Alexandra used to announce her pregnancy in October, captioned with the tragic update.

Eddie said: ‘Unfortunately we have lost our unborn baby girl. Personally we don’t want to talk right now, share too much, and don’t want to pick it apart.

‘There is no right way to deal with these things, only the way you choose to. Our hearts are exhausted and talking isn’t going to change anything or bring her back.

Family man Eddie won the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017

‘We hope that enough people see this to prevent us having to have this painful conversation in person.

‘Right now we are taking some time alone to recover’ before signing it off: ‘Thank you for understanding, Alex and Eddie’.

In October, the happy family shared a weet snap at Woore Fruit Farm, wearing matching skeleton onesies.

Alexandra was sporting one with a skeleton baby emblazoned on her stomach.

Eddied captioned the snap: ‘Happy Halloween from the five of us’, announcing Alexandra’s pregnancy to his 4 million followers.

The married couple already share 11-year-old son Maximum, and a five-month-old baby girl.

Eddie also has a daughter, Layla, from a previous relationship.

This comes after the father tried to experience what it feels like to be pregnant in a sweet lighthearted video featuring his wife Alexandra.

The married couple, pictured with their children at Woore Fruit Farm in Crewe experienced every parent’s worst nightmare

In a YouTube video in May, the 35-year-old boxer donned a fake pregnancy bump and fake breasts – bought on the internet – and spent the day as his wife, Alexandra, who was expecting their second child.

The 6ft 3′ strongman, who once weighed in at 31st but is now a slimmer 25 stone, admitted he was ‘agitated’ at carrying the extra weight around with him, as he tried to carry out tasks such as the school run, doing the family shop and getting ready for work.

‘The Beast’ looked more than a little incongruous as he joined a yoga class and tried on pregnancy bras – in full view of other customers – in a lingerie department.

Hall, who previously swapped diets with his friend Tyson Fury, explained that he’d ordered the ‘super realistic’ bump – which replicated carrying a baby at 9 months – and sizeable fake boobs to try and get some insight into what it feels like to be heavily pregnant.

With his outfit on, the husband and wife touched bumps in their kitchen before filming them going about Alexandra’s normal routine.
