<\/p>\nNigel Farage says his first thoughts were of "women" when he feared he was going to die – and told how he had females "throwing themselves" at him when he was an MEP.<\/p>\n
The former UKIP leader, 59, was recalling when he could have died in 2010 following a aircraft crash on I'm a Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here!, Josie asked: \u201cDid your life flash before your eyes?\u201d Farage said: \u201cDo you know what I thought about? Women." Josie Gibson asked: \u201cWomen? Really? Which one you loved the most?\u201d<\/p>\n
Farage replied: "All that stuff, yeah. Children obviously and just thought, 'Let\u2019s hope this is over quickly." Josie said: "You just think you\u2019re about to die and all you think about is love." He answered: "Very interesting." In the Bush Telegraph Josie said: "The thing is he said women, not woman."<\/p>\n

Nigel continued in the bus: "Then it was bang, cartwheeling through the air and then stuck, upside down in the seat, everything broken, in a bad way. Then I thought, if I get through this it\u2019ll be a miracle. After that, I never let little things annoy me." Moving on to his time as an MEP, Farage gave the impression it was a time in his life he loved when he could work hard and play hard, and also wine and dine women.<\/p>\n

He told Josie: "For the MEPs, it\u2019s an amazing lifestyle. You get to the airport, there\u2019s a chauffeur driven mercedes waiting for you. You want to go out for dinner the chauffeur takes you. You get 300 euros a day spending money, cash. The members dining room, wonderful crab and lobster buffets\u2026 yeah! Every day! The Ukip table was often the noisiest in there because we drank and had a laugh. <\/p>\n

"People looking at us in horror. And if you\u2019re an MEP the power that you have is incredible. You are treated like the elite. Women throwing themselves at you.\u201d Josie asked: \u201cReally? What a nightmare it must have been for you, Nige." Farage said: "Terrible, awful."<\/p>\n
In the Bush Telegraph Josie said: "I wouldn\u2019t have thought that Nigel would be the lady magnet that he is but sounds like to me he\u2019s had to bat them off at one point. Yeah." It was when Farage was an MEP that he met his current partner. Laure Ferrari who was working as a waitress in France in 2007. Initially they were just good friends before it blossomed into more.<\/p>\n

Speaking last week Laure, 44, said: "I've been reading all sorts of, you know, nonsensical articles about me being a secret girlfriend. I'm not a secret. I'm here. All our friends, family members know who I am. I do exist and I do support Nigel. It's very important for me to say that."<\/p>\n
