Kate Garraway’s replacement has been revealed on Good Morning Britain, after husband Derek was rushed to hospital last week.
The hit ITV show returned for another instalment on Thursday (December 21) with Ben Shephard back at the helm. Usually, Ben is joined by Kate to front the programme – but for the latest show, familiar face Ranvir Singh stepped in.
It comes after Kate’s husband Derek was rushed to hospital last week and is said to be “fighting for his life.” The TV presenter will be spending Christmas by his bedside after he suffered a heart attack.

To be there for Derek, Kate has cancelled all upcoming TV and radio work. His friends and family are said to be keeping a vigil at his side.
Derek contracted Covid-19 in 2020 and ended up in a medically induced coma. In total, the 56-year-old spent 13 months in hospital with 24-hour care before being able to go back home.
He has since been left with long-lasting organ damages and has been re-admitted to hospital several times over the past three years. Kate, who married Derek in 2005, has become his full-time carer.
But last week, almost four years after he first became ill with Covid, Derek was rushed to hospital after suffering a "massive heart attack." A source at the time told The Mirror how has was left fighting for his life all over again and it came as a "shock" after doing so well.
It comes after Kate's radio co-host issued an update on Derek. Smooth FM Breakfast presenter Jenni Falconer issued a concerning update to listeners on Tuesday morning (December 19).

She said: "On behalf of everyone here at Smooth we're sending lots of love and Smooth best wishes to our very own Kate Garraway. Kate's husband Derek as we all know has been struggling with long-lasting damage since he suffered from covid and it doesn't look good at the moment. it doesn't look like he’s in a good way. So we're sending lots of love to Kate, Derek and the family… especially at this time of the year."
