Katie Price has received backlash from fans for "smacking her new puppy" while on TikTok live.

A few months prior, animal activists begged the 45-year-old to be banned from owning pets after seven dogs died in her care since 2017.

Now, the mother of five is facing criticism once again for her controversial online video where she was seen raising her hand towards her young German Shepherd called Tank.

In the short social media clip, Tank was been misbehaving by sitting on the former glamour model's clothes as she told fans she was trying to get the kids and the dogs "settled".

Yelling at the pup, Katie could be heard shouting: "Get off!"

She then said: "You're sitting on my jumpers, my love jumpers that I love. Get off.

    "Jesus Christ… Anyway, as I was saying…"

Katie was then seen turning to the dog in frustration with her hand in the air.

Social media users who were witnessing the antics unfold on Twitter, then heard a "loud smack" while the dog was off-camera.\

Katie added: "It's hectic in here," as she laughed the incident off.

In the background, Katie's friend was then heard saying: "It's like having a baby – worse actually. At least a baby would just sit there."

But fans were clearly alarmed by the outburst and rushed to the comment section to question what was going on.

One viewer asked: "Did she just hit her dog?"

    While another replied: "Omggggg."

Following her previous dog Blade's death back in June, Katie said she was "determined to keep Tank safe" and out of harm's way.

Katie's pup Blade was unfortunately hit by a car on the A24, which is close to Katie's East Sussex home.

After the tragic shock incident, a petition was created online to prevent the I'm A Celeb star from owning any more pets, which reached 35,324 signatures.

Talking about Blade's death, Katie said: "Blade, my guard dog, unfortunately, it upsets me to talk about, but has been killed by somebody, he wasn't just run over. He was killed. There is a police investigation about it."

She later revealed she had been visited by the RSPCA, but claimed the animal welfare charity had "no concerns" following their visitation.

Daily Star has reached out to Katie's representatives for a comment.
