Lily Allen has just swapped her bleach blonde bob for a ‘cowboy copper’ crop

Lily Allen has had quite a beauty transformation in recent years. Gone is her signature choppy dark hair and in its place has been a sleek and expertly dyed blonde bob. Now, she's taking her transformation one step further with a 'cowboy copper' shade that's perfect for the autumnal weather.

The Not Fair singer, 38, debuted the look at this week's Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2023. Wearing her new copper lengths in a cropped, wet-look style that was slicked right back off her face, Lily looked almost unrecognisable. She paired the daring hair look with a smoky eye, heavy cat-eye eyeliner and dewy skin – very high fashion, we think.

Lily has also just posted a 'get ready with me' Instagram Reel from the event where she shares a closer look at her awards show prep.

One follower in the comment sections writes: "Okay what skin treatments are you doing bc I need to know now!! You look amazing!!"

"Ok but the red hair is a POWER MOVE," says a second, while a third writes: "Those nails are deadly weapons," referencing Lily's extra-long red talons.

If you're wondering what a cowboy copper is exactly, colour experts describe it as a rich, deep red that combines the coolness of brunette with warm, bronze undertones in one fiery hue. The tone has already taken TikTok by storm, racking up more than 5 million views and counting. Plus, the hye counts the likes of Love Island's Ella Thomas, Briderton's Phoebe Dynevor and Kendall Jenner as fans.

If you want to try this tone out for yourself, we would always recommend visiting a salon to make sure there are no unexpected disasters. However, if you’re already rocking red hair or a light base, and if you're just looking for a subtle change, you can try a semi-permanent home hair tint. We love Bleach London’s Semi-Permanent Proper Copper Super Cool Colour, £6.50 here.

We do wonder how long this colour will last on Lily, though. The singer had been blonde for a year or so before trying out this copper hue, she did briefly give another tint a try late this summer: a peachy orange. “Antiqued Peach painted by @lenaott and cut by @howardreyeshair for Lily,” NYC-based hair salon Suite Caroline captioned a clip of Lily's pastel peach look at the time of the transformation.

What look do you prefer on Lily? Copper or blonde? Or maybe peach?
